If you are travelling to New Zealand then saying hello to the locals can be done in many ways. In English, well, that’s like any other English speaker country. Hello, Hey, Hi, Yo etc.
To say hello in Māori you say ‘Kia Ora’. This is pronounced ‘Key-or-ahh’ or ‘Kiyour-ahh’. Not perfect phonetic spelling but you get it.
