City Travel Tip #1407

Discover free and wonderful museums in London

Photo:

Several European cities have beautiful museums. But nowhere do you find so much diversity and, best of all, museums with free entry every day of the year, except for December 24th, 25th, and 26th, when most of them remain closed.

In London, you can discover the permanent collection of the city’s great museums without paying a single cent:

British Museum,
Museum of Natural History,
Victoria & Albert Museum,
Science Museum,
London Museum

Anyone who has been to all of these can also visit the Imperial War Museum, on the south bank of the Thames, or the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, or the incredible house of collector Sir John Soane. Totally free!

Note, however, that due to the restrictive measures imposed by the pandemic, it is necessary to schedule the visit in most museums, even if admission is free. For information and to make an appointment, see the museum’s website.
