London has a huge number of squares and parks, and five of the so-called “royal parks” are located in the central region of the city:
Hyde Park,
Kensington Gardens,
St James’s Park,
Green Park and
Regent’s Park / Primrose Hill.
A picnic in the park, or even a strategic stop on a sunny day, is a delightful program.
My favorite amongst royal parks is Regent’s Park, especially in spring, but all are beautiful and in every season with their charm: St James’s Park with a view of Buckingham Palace, Serpentine in Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens…
Do you want to visit a park farther away? Then head to Hampstead Heath, in the charming Hampstead region of north London, or Richmond Park in the south-west of the city.
