100 Club London: the history of live music in London

Photo:

Located at 100 Oxford Street in the city center, this venue has been around for 70 years. The 100 Club London is undoubtedly a piece of the city’s musical history. Famous musicians such as the Sex Pistols, David Bowie and Oasis have played on his stage. Before that, it hosted Louis Armstrong and Jimi Hendrix, just to name a few. In the beginning, the 100 Club was proposed as a jazz club, but its history (which I recommend reading on their website) saw the advent of the punk revolution and the indie wave of the 90s.

The place is small but very nice. Going down the narrow downstairs, you find yourself immersed in the history of rock’n’roll. It almost seems like a secret corner of the world where you can go and meet famous musicians or emerging bands who, who knows, one day will play on the biggest stages in the world.
