Changi Airport – My Favourite Things To Do

Photo:

Most airports in the world are purely functional. You arrive in time for your flight, check in, and wait to board. There would be a few shops if you need a quick bite or buy some last minute souvenirs.

Changi Airport in Singapore is far from the norm. Among its many amenities are – a large mall connected to the airport (Jewel Changi Airport), several gardens located in the various terminals, and even the world’s tallest slide in an airport. Hence, you can consider factoring in enough time to explore Changi Airport before your departure flight.

Here are some of my favourite things to do at Jewel Changi Airport:

1. Eat chicken rice at Pow Sing Restaurant. Although the branch at the airport is new, this restaurant is a local institution as its history dates to 1983.

2. Catch a movie at Jewel Changi Airport’s Shaw Theatres. If you have more than two hours to kill, why not buy a cinema ticket and watch a film.

3. Take gorgeous selfies at the Forest Gardens and Rain Vortex. The Rain Vortex is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and is set amidst the scenic greenery of the Forest Gardens.

4. Learn more about the history and development of Changi Airport at the Changi Experience Studio. This is an interactive exhibition, which will appeal to both adults and children alike.
