Paddington train station connects central London to Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express and Connect trains, making the area a good accommodation option for those arriving or departing from this airport. Located in Transport Zone 1, on the north side of Hyde Park and west of Oxford Street, the area has a wide range of hotels. The closest to the train station are mostly small hotels and bed & breakfasts, while in the area close to the park (next to Queensway and Lancaster Gate underground stations ), there are larger hotels, some hotel chains, and even 4-star hotels.
There is accessible transport to downtown attractions and also to Notting Hill to the east. On Queensway, across the street from Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens, you’ll find it all: restaurants, supermarkets, pubs, and even a small shopping center, Whiteleys. The areas further away from the train station are more charming.
